This painting was inspired by a trip to the mumbles, where I accidentally took the wrong bus, and ended up coming across a beautiful cliff formation leading up to the lighthouse.
I was inspired by the sheer scale of the cliffs, and their imposing colours, and wished to recreate this the best I could.
To do this I painted the scene on a very large canvas, and allowed the under painting to add tone and depth to the piece.
